“Odogwu” in Igbo translates loosely to a title given to a victorious, heroic leader, and is fitting here as Burna Boy is outfitted with a crown in the opening sequence. He ventures through towns in his homeland as they celebrate him as Nigeria’s “Victor.”

After the release, he took to his twitter page to ask his fans as to who can best describe or explain the title of the video and the fans came up with various or different meanings but most leading to the same theme.

Odogwu is his first official single since his Grammy Award.
